Alibaba has launched Qoder, an AI agent workbench designed for users worldwide, enabling no-code development through natural language. Built on models including Qwen3.8-Max, Qoder supports over 40 connectors, 70 plugins, and 20,000 skills. Since its global release in August 2025, it has served more than 6 million users and 100,000 enterprise clients.

On August 27, Alibaba officially launched the new Qoder, positioning it as an "agent workbench for everyone." The product centers on coding as its core capability, allowing users to complete tasks such as development, prototyping, and data processing without writing code—simply by describing their goals in natural language. Qoder comes with several advanced models, including Qwen3.8-Max, and features Auto intelligent scheduling, which matches the appropriate model based on task characteristics, balancing effectiveness, speed, and cost.

Qoder supports more than 40 connectors, over 70 plugins, and more than 20,000 skills, enabling integration of code repositories, project management, cloud services, and internal tools into AI workflows. The product offers both programming and general-purpose modes, and includes features such as Plan, Goal, and side tasks designed for long-horizon and complex assignments. On the interaction front, Qoder introduces a desktop pet and real-time voice capabilities, allowing users to initiate and follow up on tasks by voice and adjust execution at any time.

The new Qoder product family includes an IDE, CLI, JetBrains plugin, mobile app, digital employee QoderWake, and Cloud Agents. Since its global release in August 2025, Qoder has served more than 6 million users and over 100,000 enterprise clients worldwide. The new version simplifies interaction and lowers the barrier to entry, further strengthening its position as an AI agent productivity tool.
