This policy applies to public pages, news and industry research, developer accounts, API access, newsletter subscriptions and related support channels on 24topnews.com. The service is currently in public beta.
Information we may process
Technical services may process access time, pages viewed, referring page, IP address, browser and device type, operating system, broad location, error records and technical identifiers. If you create a developer account, request an API key or subscribe to the Daily Brief, we process the information needed to verify, secure and operate that service, including email address, request status, usage records and subscription status. If you contact us, we process your address, message, attachment metadata and our replies in order to handle the enquiry and maintain an appropriate audit record.
Purpose and service providers
Information is used to operate and secure the site, deliver requested emails, administer API access and quotas, understand aggregate usage, investigate failures, prevent abuse and respond to enquiries. We use third-party technical providers for hosting, security, data processing, email and analytics. Processing may occur outside Hong Kong where those services operate. We do not sell contact information or use access records to provide personalised securities recommendations.
Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the stated purposes, security, dispute handling and applicable legal obligations. We use HTTPS, access controls, rate limits, security headers and database permission controls, although no internet transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may restrict cookies and third-party scripts through browser controls. Every Daily Brief includes an unsubscribe mechanism. For access, correction, deletion or privacy enquiries, use the contact page. We may need to verify your relationship to the relevant information before acting on a request.
