Anthropic Signs at Least 14.8GW of Compute Deals in 11 Months, Potential Cost Up to $517 Billion
Anthropic has signed at least 14.8 gigawatts of new compute contracts over the past 11 months, bringing its total committed capacity to about 16GW, with potential cumulative costs reaching $517 billion. The deals include up to 5GW from Amazon, 5GW combined from Google and Broadcom, and about 1GW from Microsoft and NVIDIA, plus the full capacity of SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center.
Anthropic has signed at least 14.8 gigawatts (GW) of new compute contracts over the past 11 months, with the associated capacity expected to come online gradually over the coming years. Combined with the 1 to 2GW locked in before October 2025, Anthropic's total contracted compute now stands at approximately 16GW, with many agreements extending beyond 2030.
Among the new contracts, Amazon will provide up to 5GW, Google and Broadcom together contribute 5GW, and Microsoft and NVIDIA supply up to about 1GW. Anthropic has also leased the entire capacity of SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center, gaining access to more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs in one transaction, including H100, H200, and GB200 models.
