Apple Plans Waitlist for New Siri AI at September 2026 System Launch

Apple plans to enable a waitlist mechanism for its new Siri AI when iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate are officially released, restricting initial access to some users. Siri AI is the significantly upgraded version of Siri, offering stronger capabilities than the current assistant. In the seventh beta of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate, infrastructure related to the waitlist has already appeared, indicating that Apple is preparing for a phased rollout after the official launch.

Apple can adjust the estimated wait time information from the server side based on server capacity and actual demand. When a user is granted access, the system will send a notification. During the testing phase, Siri AI used a similar waitlist system, with some test users waiting up to a week for access. The feature is scheduled to launch publicly in September 2026, but there is currently no clear information on how long users will have to wait at that time.
