Apple Signs Three-to-Five-Year NAND Supply Deal with Kioxia, Sets September 2026 Event
Apple has signed a long-term NAND flash supply agreement with Kioxia spanning three to five years, with no price cap, as it expands long-term procurement beyond HBM into DRAM and NAND. The company also scheduled its fall product launch for September 9, 2026, at 10 a. m. Pacific Time, marking John Ternus's first keynote as CEO.
Apple has recently shifted its NAND flash procurement strategy toward long-term supply agreements. Previously, such agreements were concentrated mainly in the HBM segment, but they are now gradually expanding to cover DRAM and NAND flash.
Apple has scheduled its fall product launch event for 10 a. m. Pacific Time on September 9, 2026 (1 a. Beijing time on September 10), under the theme "Surprise and Shine." The event will mark the first keynote since John Ternus assumed the role of chief executive officer.
