Asia Potash International (000893. SZ) released its 2026 interim report on the evening of August 27. For the first half of 2026, the company recorded revenue of RMB3.82 billion, a year-on-year increase of 51.53%. Non-GAAP net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB1.35 billion, up 57.32% from the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at RMB1.48, a rise of 57.93%. All three core financial metrics achieved double-digit growth compared with the prior-year period.
The company's production capacity has increased from approximately 250,000 tonnes per year in its early stages to 3 million tonnes per year. After the third 1-million-tonne potash project at Xiaodongbu commenced operations, it entered a ramp-up phase, with new capacity continuing to be released. In the second quarter of 2026, potash output reached 848,400 tonnes, up 31.23% quarter-on-quarter, while sales volume totaled 782,200 tonnes, an increase of 47.50% from the previous quarter. The project has now entered a stable production stage.
The company holds core potash mining rights covering 263.3 square kilometers in Laos, which is adjacent to major potash-consuming markets in China, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. Through years of development and construction, the company has accumulated experience in large-scale potash production. Potash production is highly dependent on upstream potassium salt resources, which have long formation cycles and highly concentrated distribution. Among global recoverable potash reserves, Canada, Russia, and Belarus together account for 68.6%.
