At the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, Bank of Qingdao unveiled its 'Qingdao Going Global' comprehensive financial services plan. As Shandong Province's first local bank to directly participate in the Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS), the bank reported cross-border RMB settlements exceeding RMB 100 billion and international business volume surpassing USD 25.6 billion by end-August 2026.

On September 8, 2026, the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade opened at the Xiamen International Expo Center. As the first local corporate bank in Shandong Province to directly participate in the Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS), Bank of Qingdao set up an exhibition booth under the theme "Walking with You, Making Good Things Happen" and held a special roadshow during the fair titled "CIPS Empowerment, Setting Sail Globally," presenting its "Qingdao Going Global" comprehensive financial services plan.

The bank's exhibition area featured a lighthouse and container cargo ship as its main design elements, reflecting Qingdao's identity as a port city. A model container ship named "Bank of Qingdao" displayed products from 16 partner companies, covering sectors such as automotive components, food and beverages, equipment manufacturing, and chemical energy. The bank dedicated its core exhibition space to showcasing client products, providing partner companies with a window to global investors.

At the roadshow, Bank of Qingdao launched the "Qingdao Going Global" comprehensive financial services plan. The plan focuses on the full lifecycle needs of enterprises going global, building a six-in-one service system encompassing policy consultation, account services, cross-border settlement, exchange rate hedging, financing and credit enhancement, and capital appreciation. It covers four major scenarios: cross-border industrial transfer, overseas contracted projects, cross-border investment and financing, and global operations of multinational enterprises, aiming to achieve one-stop alignment with enterprises' financial needs for going global. During the roadshow, the bank signed intention agreements with several partners.

Bank of Qingdao is the first CIPS direct participant in Shandong Province, having shifted cross-border RMB settlement from an agency bank model to point-to-point direct settlement, improving settlement efficiency and reducing costs. As of the end of August 2026, the bank's international business volume exceeded USD 25.6 billion, surpassing its full-year 2025 level; it served more than 5,000 foreign trade enterprises; and its cross-border RMB settlement volume exceeded RMB 100 billion.

The bank stated that it will continue to leverage its advantages as a CIPS direct participant, optimize its cross-border financial product system and service models, support Chinese enterprises in expanding into global markets, and serve foreign enterprises operating in China, providing financial services for two-way cross-border investment and the development of the foreign trade industry.
