BOCHK Visa Cards Add Visa Click to Pay Online Checkout

Bank of China (Hong Kong) (02388) said that from September 16, 2026, its BOC Visa credit cards support the Visa Click to Pay online payment solution. When shopping online at partner merchants, customers no longer need to enter their credit card number, expiry date or security code. Data from BOC Credit Card (International) showed that online purchase transaction volume rose nearly 10 percent year on year in the first half of 2026.

BOC Visa credit card customers can register their personal email address and mobile number for Visa Click to Pay within the BoC Pay+ app. At online merchants that support the service, customers select Click to Pay as the payment method and enter their registered contact details to complete the transaction. The solution uses tokenisation technology and multiple payment security measures to encrypt customer data, and online merchants cannot store customers' credit card information, reducing the risk of unauthorised transactions arising from data leaks. In addition, from September 16, 2026, BOC Visa credit card customers who pay through Visa Click to Pay at designated online merchants can receive up to RMB 50 in cash rebates.
