ByteDance Opens Seedance 2.5 Video Model API, Prices from RMB 42 per Million Tokens
ByteDance launched public API testing for its Seedance 2.5 video generation model on August 7, 2026. Pricing starts at RMB 42 per million tokens with video input, and RMB 70 without, up by RMB 14 and RMB 24 from Seedance 2.0. The model generates 30-second clips and supports multi-image, video, and audio references.
ByteDance's video generation model Seedance 2.5 opened public API testing at 2:00 PM on August 7, 2026. The company had previously disclosed its API pricing: RMB 42 per million tokens with video input, and RMB 70 per million tokens without video input. This represents increases of RMB 14 and RMB 24, respectively, compared with the previous Seedance 2.0, which had an output resolution of 720P.
Seedance 2.5 achieves breakthroughs in three dimensions: single-segment generation length, multi-source reference, and video editing. It can produce a single high-quality video clip of up to 30 seconds and supports multi-round extension. The model accepts up to 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio clips as reference materials in a single input, enabling complex content generation involving multiple subjects, scenes, and camera shots. Additionally, the model supports precise timestamp control and enhanced editing capabilities such as green screen and perspective adjustment.
