C919 Chief Designer Academician Wu Guanghui Visits Jiangte Motor
Academician Wu Guanghui, chief designer of China's C919 large passenger aircraft, led a delegation to inspect Jiangte Motor on September 7. The company is actively exploring low-altitude economy and embodied intelligence sectors, having signed a cooperation agreement in April 2026 to jointly establish a low-altitude economy innovation research institute.
On September 7, Academician Wu Guanghui of the Chinese Academy of Engineering led a delegation to Jiangte Motor (002176) for an inspection and research visit. Jiangte Motor is actively researching and positioning itself in emerging fields such as the low-altitude economy and embodied intelligence. In April 2026, the company signed the "Joint Initiator Cooperation Agreement for the Academician-Led Low-Altitude Economy Collaborative Innovation Research Institute (Preparatory)". Wu Guanghui was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in November 2017 and currently serves as chief scientist of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and chief designer of the C919 large passenger aircraft, a major national special project.
