Capital Eco-Protection GM Wang Zhengshu Resigns for Personal Reasons Within Three Months of Appointment

On the evening of August 20, Capital Eco-Protection announced that its board received a resignation report from director and general manager Wang Zhengshu. Citing personal reasons, Wang applied to resign from his positions as director and general manager, effective upon delivery of the report to the board. Subsequently, Wang will no longer hold any position in the company or its controlled subsidiaries.

Capital Eco-Protection is a state-controlled environmental enterprise under Beijing Capital Group, with business covering the entire environmental protection chain of "water, solid waste, gas, and energy", mainly including urban water services, comprehensive water environment management, and solid waste treatment. According to the company's 2025 annual report, its business spans over 190 cities nationwide, with a daily water treatment capacity of 27.28 million tonnes.

In June 2026, Wang Zhengshu was just appointed as general manager of the listed company. According to a disclosure dated June 10, 2026, the fourth temporary meeting of the ninth board of directors in 2026, held on June 9, approved the appointment of Wang Zhengshu as general manager, with a term from the date of board approval until the expiration of the ninth board's term. Meanwhile, the controlling shareholder nominated Wang Zhengshu as a candidate for director of the ninth board.

According to public information, Wang Zhengshu was born in November 1975 and holds a master's degree. He previously served as operations manager at Beijing Capital Group, deputy general manager of Beijing Jinglong Tiancheng Real Estate Development Co. , Ltd. , executive general manager of Huludao Capital Investment Development Co. , assistant general manager and deputy general manager of Capital Investment Development Co. , and deputy general manager of Beijing Capital Eco-Protection Group Co.

The latest announcement shows that Wang's departure does not cause the board to fall below the legally required minimum number of directors, and will not affect the normal operation of the board, nor have an adverse impact on the company's standardized operation and daily operations. Subsequently, the company will promptly carry out procedures to elect a new director and appoint a new general manager in accordance with relevant regulations.

Before Wang Zhengshu, the duties of general manager of Capital Eco-Protection were performed by Li Fujing. According to a disclosure dated December 25, 2025, due to a work adjustment of former chairman Liu Yongzheng, Capital Eco-Protection no longer appointed Li Fujing as general manager, and Li Fujing took on the roles of chairman, director, and member of board committees, while also acting as general manager. According to the 2025 annual report, Li Fujing was born in July 1980, holds a master's degree, and is a senior economist and engineer.
