At the 2026 World Power Battery Conference, CATL Chairman Robin Zeng said in a video speech that the company's top quality priority is maintaining reverence for risk, treating even the smallest probability events as major concerns. He noted that power batteries require extreme precision and low fault tolerance, and at current production scales, small issues are amplified. Zeng emphasized that making one battery is easy, but making 10 billion equally good ones is the real challenge, underscoring consistency.

In a keynote speech delivered via video at the 2026 World Power Battery Conference, Robin Zeng, Chairman of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL), stated that the company's foremost quality principle is to maintain reverence for risk, treating every extremely low-probability event as a matter of great importance.

Zeng pointed out that power batteries demand extremely high precision and have an extremely low tolerance for error. At the current scale of mass production, even minor issues are magnified many times over. He added that while producing a single battery is not difficult, the real challenge lies in manufacturing 10 billion batteries of consistently high quality—this is what constitutes consistency.
