PetroChina Changqing Sets Domestic Record with 3,100-Meter Horizontal Coalbed Methane Well in Ordos Basin
The Basin East Natural Gas Evaluation Project Team of Changqing Oilfield has recently completed drilling an ultra-long horizontal well for deep coalbed methane in the eastern Ordos Basin. The well features a horizontal section of 3,100 meters and a coal seam encounter rate of 95.8%, setting a new domestic record for the longest horizontal section in deep coalbed methane drilling.
