China Eastern Airlines August capacity rises 5.17%, passenger traffic up 6.69%

China Eastern Airlines (00670) announced that in August 2026 passenger capacity rose 5.17% year on year, passenger traffic increased 6.69% year on year, and the load factor was 89.61%, up 1.27 percentage points year on year. Cargo and mail traffic rose 3.61% year on year.

In August 2026, China Eastern introduced two A320-family aircraft and retired two A320-family aircraft. At the end of August 2026, the group operated a total of 833 aircraft.
