China General Nuclear's Huizhou Units 5 and 6 Receive State Council Approval, Using Hualong One Technology
China General Nuclear Power Group's subsidiary, CGN Huizhou Third Nuclear Power Company, has received State Council approval for the construction of Huizhou Units 5 and 6. The units will use Hualong One 2.0 nuclear technology, each with a capacity of 1217MW. Preparatory work is underway, and full construction will begin after obtaining the Nuclear Power Plant Construction Permit from the National Nuclear Safety Administration.
The construction of Huizhou Units 5 and 6, owned by China General Nuclear Power Group's subsidiary CGN Huizhou Third Nuclear Power Company Limited, has been approved by the State Council. Currently, Huizhou Third Nuclear Power is conducting preparation work for the two units in an orderly manner. Full construction will commence after the company obtains the Nuclear Power Plant Construction Permit from the National Nuclear Safety Administration. Both approved units adopt Hualong One 2.0 nuclear power technology, with a single unit capacity of 1217MW.
