China Hongqiao Posts H1 Revenue of RMB 87.5 Billion, Net Profit Up 39.2%
China Hongqiao reported first-half 2026 operating revenue of RMB 87.506 billion, up 8.0% year-on-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 17.210 billion, a rise of 39.2%. Basic earnings per share reached RMB 1.73. The company attributed the improvement to higher aluminum alloy selling prices, increased sales volumes of deep-processed aluminum products, and higher selling prices for those products. The group also highlighted its closed-loop industry chain, its shift toward clean energy including hydropower and solar, and the commissioning of the country's largest electric-heated molten salt energy storage centre.
China Hongqiao held its first-half 2026 results briefing in Hong Kong on August 24. During the reporting period, the company generated operating revenue of RMB 87.506 billion, up 8.0% year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 17.210 billion, up 39.2% year-on-year, with basic earnings per share of RMB 1.73. The company said the improved performance was mainly due to higher year-on-year selling prices for aluminum alloy products, increased sales volumes of deep-processed aluminum products, and higher selling prices for those products.
China Hongqiao has built a complete closed-loop industry chain spanning mining, alumina, primary aluminum, aluminum deep processing and new materials, and recycled aluminum. The company has also continued to optimise its energy structure, expanding from traditional thermal power supply to diversified clean and renewable sources such as hydropower and solar, while its product matrix has extended from basic aluminum products to alloys and components. At its alumina production base in Zhanhua, Binzhou, the company is exploring green power consumption pathways through direct green electricity supply and molten salt energy storage technology, adopting a consumption model based on nearby green power direct supply, and has commissioned the country's largest electric-heated molten salt energy storage centre, pioneering an “electricity-heat-steam” direct conversion model.
In addition, the company participated in the compilation of the world's first group standard for the integrated die-casting sector, titled “Heat-Treatment-Free Die-Casting Aluminum Alloy for Integrated Die Casting”.
