China Merchants Securities Vice President Liu Rui Takes Chairman Role at Asset Management Unit
China Merchants Securities' asset management subsidiary, China Merchants Asset Management, announced on September 2 that Zhang Liangyong has stepped down as chairman due to a work transfer, with Liu Rui succeeding him. Liu, currently vice president of China Merchants Securities and director of China Merchants Zhiyuan Capital, will also serve as chairman of the asset management unit starting September 2026.
On September 2, China Merchants Asset Management, the asset management subsidiary of China Merchants Securities, announced that Zhang Liangyong has resigned as chairman due to a work transfer, with Liu Rui taking over the role. According to his career history, Liu Rui currently serves as vice president of China Merchants Securities and director of China Merchants Zhiyuan Capital. He previously held positions including assistant to the president of China Merchants Securities. He has concurrently served as chairman of China Merchants Asset Management since September 2026.
