China Nuclear Control Deploys Fully Domestic Industrial Internet Platform, Achieving 100% Localization

Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

China Nuclear Control System Engineering Co. , Ltd. has deployed its fully domestic industrial internet platform in the nuclear industry after self-development. The platform achieves 100% localization from chips and operating systems to upper-level applications, filling a long-standing digital infrastructure gap. It features over 200 industrial models, cutting application development from months to days, and overcomes 20 core technologies. The platform supported the nation's first national-level smart manufacturing standard pilot in nuclear industry, enabling full-process traceability and compliance review, and is now scaling industrially.

The fully domestic industrial internet platform developed by China Nuclear Control System Engineering Co. , Ltd. has completed its deployment in the nuclear industry. The platform, built for high-safety nuclear scenarios, achieves 100% localization from underlying chips, operating systems and databases to upper-level industrial applications, filling the long-standing gap in digital infrastructure for the nuclear power control sector. In nuclear facilities, the distributed control system (DCS) manages production operations, while the industrial internet platform connects the entire industrial chain. Over the past decade or more, instrument control system hardware and software have achieved self-sufficiency and localization, but the various plants in nuclear power, nuclear fuel and nuclear chemical sites use inconsistent system standards and incompatible interfaces, creating data silos and lacking a domestic digital foundation that meets nuclear safety specifications.

During the initial project phase, the R&D team conducted investigations and recorded pain points, then assembled a cross-disciplinary team for technical breakthroughs. The seamless integration of the platform with domestic DCS was a major challenge. The team independently developed a proprietary high-speed communication protocol to achieve millisecond-level data interaction and innovatively created an integrated tool with over 200 industrial mechanism models, compressing application development cycles from months to several days. The multi-protocol dynamic acquisition technology also balanced security, performance and flexibility, ultimately overcoming more than 20 core technologies. Prior to formal promotion, the platform had already supported the nation's first national-level smart manufacturing standard pilot in the nuclear industry, significantly improving design, testing and production efficiency, achieving full-process data traceability and comprehensive compliance review, thereby transitioning from internal trials to industry-wide scaled application.
