China Shipbuilding Net Profit Up 163.51% in H1 2026
China Shipbuilding reported a 163.51% year-on-year increase in net profit attributable to shareholders, reaching RMB 9.954 billion in the first half of 2026. Revenue rose 26.01% to RMB 91.53 billion, driven by higher delivery volumes, a greater share of mid-to-high-end vessels, and increased average vessel prices. The company proposed a cash dividend of RMB 4.65 per 10 shares.
China Shipbuilding disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on August 30, 2026, showing operating revenue of RMB 91.53 billion for the first half of the year, up 26.01% year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 9.954 billion, a surge of 163.51% compared with the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at RMB 1.323.
The company attributed the strong performance to an increase in the number of civilian vessels delivered, a higher proportion of mid-to-high-end ship types, and a rise in the average price per vessel, all compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
Regarding profit distribution, the company plans to pay a cash dividend of RMB 4.65 (tax inclusive) for every 10 shares held by all shareholders.
