China Unicom Unveils AIDN Architecture to Advance AI-Defined Networks
On September 10, 2026, at the connectivity forum of the 2026 China Unicom Partner Conference, China Unicom released its AIDN innovation architecture, or AI-defined network.
China Unicom Deputy General Manager Zhu Hanwu said the company will take the architecture as its guide and upgrade toward intelligence, continuing to expand connection scale and increase connection density, while upgrading computing-network scheduling capabilities and innovating product and service forms.
China Unicom explained that the AIDN innovation architecture marks an important leap for networks from connecting people and things to connecting intelligent agents, and from transmitting data and using computing to distributing intelligence.
