CNPC Chairman Dai Houliang Inspects Liaoyang Petrochemical, Urges Technology-Led Upgrading
China National Petroleum Corporation Chairman Dai Houliang visited Liaoyang Petrochemical on August 12-13, reviewing key instructions from President Xi Jinping's earlier inspection and assessing business operations, reform progress, and grassroots party building. He toured production facilities including polyester control room, PEN new materials site, nylon 66 project, and pilot plants. Dai urged technology-driven innovation to advance refining and chemical transformation, optimize processes, validate expansion feasibility, develop high-value products, and maintain safety and environmental standards for optimal economic performance.
From August 12 to 13, Dai Houliang, Chairman and Party Secretary of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), conducted a research visit to Liaoyang Petrochemical. During the visit, he revisited and studied the important guiding principles delivered by President Xi Jinping during his inspection of the company, reviewed business operations, production, reform and development, and carried out grassroots party building activities at his liaison point, while greeting frontline employees.
During the inspection, Dai visited the polyester department control room, the PEN new materials construction site and its pilot plant, the nylon 66 project, the plastics processing platform, the PX unit, and the EDH pilot plant. He stressed the importance of building the enterprise on strong technology, empowering the transformation and upgrading of refining and chemical operations through scientific and technological innovation. He called for continued optimization of processes and technological routes, careful assessment of the feasibility of expansion and renovation plans, and progress in research and development of high-value-added products alongside pre-sales market preparation. He also emphasized strengthening product quality and quantity management, strictly upholding safety and environmental protection standards, and ensuring optimal economic performance of facilities with safe, stable, long-term, full-capacity, and efficient operations.
