CPIC to Shield 2026 CIFTIS for Seventh Year with Total Coverage of RMB 399 Billion

The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will be held in Beijing from September 9 to 13. As the global partner and designated insurance service provider for the fair, China Pacific Insurance (CPIC) will provide coverage for the seventh consecutive year, with total insured amount rising to RMB 399 billion. The coverage scope has expanded from traditional property insurance, public liability insurance, and group accident insurance to a diverse range of policies, including engineering insurance, event interruption and cancellation insurance, cybersecurity protection, and excess carbon emission insurance.

Over the past seven years, CPIC's coverage for CIFTIS has grown steadily. Total insured amount approached RMB 100 billion in 2020, exceeded RMB 200 billion in 2022, reached RMB 307.6 billion in 2025, and jumped to RMB 399 billion in 2026. Through multiple national-level exhibition service practices, CPIC has developed a comprehensive exhibition insurance service system that is full-chain, full-cycle, digital, and diversified, balancing claims handling with pre-event risk prevention. CPIC's property insurance subsidiary in Beijing has customized a full-cycle risk management plan covering the entire process of booth construction, exhibition operation, and post-event dismantling. The dedicated insurance matrix for this year's fair covers organizers, exhibitors, staff, and visitors. During the setup phase, professional risk engineer teams conduct risk inspections at key points such as exhibition halls, electrical and fire safety systems, special booths, exhibit storage, and evacuation routes, and issue dedicated risk assessment reports.

The 2026 CIFTIS, themed around "expanding opening-up, deepening cooperation, and leading innovation," will host nearly 100 conference activities. CPIC's subsidiaries, including property insurance, life insurance, CPIC Asset Management, Pacific Health Insurance, and Changjiang Pension, will hold multiple forums and launch events. In terms of green and low-carbon initiatives, CPIC integrates ESG principles throughout its insurance protection and on-site activities. The property insurance subsidiary in Beijing has upgraded its excess carbon emission insurance coverage, providing special compensation in carbon quotas and carbon credits for excess emissions caused by rescue, repair, and facility replacement following disasters or accidents. Leveraging its carbon inclusive platform "CPIC Carbon Inclusive," the company will launch a personal carbon neutrality activity themed "Low-Carbon CIFTIS, Green Together."

For participant services, CPIC has built a multilingual, round-the-clock, integrated international service response system. Online, the 95500 customer service hotline offers a dedicated bilingual channel, providing 7x24-hour Chinese and English consultation, claims reporting, and incident handling. Offline, the CPIC booth is staffed with bilingual interpreters, supporting on-site services in Chinese, English, Korean, French, and Spanish. CPIC has also formed a youth volunteer team of nearly 100 members to provide route guidance, insurance consultation, emergency assistance, and low-carbon guidance. The property insurance subsidiary, in collaboration with professional medical institutions, has set up medical first-aid points in high-traffic areas of the exhibition halls, equipped with first-aid devices, common medicines, and full-time medical staff.
