CSPC Innovation Unit Starts Phase I Trial of SYH2092 for Weight Loss and Diabetes

CSPC Innovation announced on August 31 that its controlled subsidiary, CSPC Megalith Biopharmaceutical, has initiated a Phase I clinical trial of SYH2092 injection. The trial evaluates the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of a single dose in healthy participants. SYH2092, an amylin receptor agonist, is being developed for weight management and glycemic control.

The trial is designed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of a single dose of SYH2092 in healthy participants.

SYH2092 is an amylin receptor agonist. The drug is designed to enhance efficacy while maintaining manageable tolerability through optimized agonist activity, and to extend its half-life in the body via optimized fatty acid modification. The Phase I trial has been launched in China, with participant recruitment and screening currently underway.
