Disney and TikTok Announce Global Short-Form Video Content Sharing Agreement
Walt Disney Company and TikTok announced on August 5 that they have reached a global short-form video content sharing agreement. The deal will launch as a pilot in the United States in the coming months, with plans to expand to other markets, aiming to bring selected fan-created content centered on Disney from TikTok into the Disney+ application.
Short videos produced by creators participating in the program will appear simultaneously in dedicated sections on TikTok and Disney+ upon release, with content covering characters and stories from Disney-owned brands including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and FX. TikTok will provide creators with access to materials related to hundreds of films and series in Disney's intellectual property library.
