The Dongguan Digital Human Body and Smart Sleep Innovation Consortium was inaugurated on July 27 at DeRUCCI headquarters, with about 300 attendees. Academician Yin Zhouping was appointed chief scientist, and DeRUCCI CTO Chen Wenze as administrative chief engineer. The consortium launched its proprietary sleep vertical large model, deployed in the T12 series, enabling sleep report generation, personalized plans, and smart home device coordination. Several top hospitals, including Peking University Third Hospital, established AI research wards for home-clinic bidirectional sleep monitoring. The consortium plans a medical-grade sleep data center targeting millions of ergonomic data models and tens of billions of sleep behavior records for early disease warning.
On July 27, the Dongguan Digital Human Body and Smart Sleep Innovation Consortium was inaugurated at DeRUCCI headquarters. Guided by the Dongguan Science and Technology Bureau and the Houjie Town Government, the consortium was co-organized by DeRUCCI and the Guangdong Huazhong University of Science and Technology Industrial Technology Research Institute, with about 300 participants.
Academician Yin Zhouping of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was appointed chief scientist of the consortium, and DeRUCCI CTO Chen Wenze was appointed administrative chief engineer. Several top-tier hospitals, including Peking University Third Hospital, Dongguan People's Hospital, and Dongguan Maternal and Child Health Hospital, were designated as AI Intelligent Research Wards of the consortium, enabling a bidirectional channel for home sleep monitoring and clinical diagnosis.
In a special report, Chen Wenze introduced that the consortium's self-developed sleep vertical large model has completed the construction of a basic knowledge base and a local deployment model, and has been implemented in DeRUCCI's T12 series products. This enables sleep report generation, personalized improvement plan push, and intelligent Q&A. Leveraging the large model, the system can achieve coordinated adjustment of the sleep micro-environment, integrating real-time sleep monitoring with voice interaction commands to dynamically optimize the sleep environment by linking the bed, electric bed, lights, air conditioning, and other home devices. On the product development front, the consortium launched an AI personalized sleep support system with three capabilities: AI body recognition, physical structure customization, and dynamic adaptive adjustment.
The consortium has planned seven core sub-projects: sleep medicine theory, sleep human factors engineering, sleep monitoring, sleep analysis, sleep intervention, sleep large model, and clinical evaluation and demonstration system. Chen Wenze revealed that a medical-grade sleep data center will be built, continuously expanding to millions of ergonomic data models and tens of billions of sleep behavior data records. This will drive early warning of early-stage chronic disease risks such as sleep apnea and heart rate variability during home sleep, and carry out clinical validation of cardiac micro-vibration monitoring.
In a roundtable forum, representatives of supply chain companies noted that Dongguan's complete supply chain system can support the integrated development of core components and complete machines. The consortium will coordinate the division of labor across the industrial chain to overcome mass production challenges. According to the development plan, the consortium will continue to iterate on the commercial terminal products of the sleep health AI intelligent agent, forming a replicable and scalable industry development model with Dongguan characteristics.
