Duolingo Acquires London Animation Studio Animade

Recent clients include Dropbox and Lego, and it designed a mascot for an AI learning tool. Under the agreement, the Animade team will join Duolingo's design studio to support product innovation, growth experiments, and new creative projects. The move also expands Duolingo's presence in the UK.
Duolingo is headquartered in Pittsburgh and its core product is a language-learning app, which ranks among the top-grossing education apps on Google Play and Apple's App Store. The company announced the acquisition shortly after releasing its second-quarter earnings. The results showed that Duolingo's quarterly revenue was 258.95 million euros (approximately $298.45 million), up 18.35% year over year, and daily active users reached 58.7 million, up 23% from the same period last year.
