Neno, an AI-native financial services startup based in Amsterdam, has completed a €6.6 million seed round. The proceeds will fund a new research division, expand its accounting and tax teams, and support entry into more European markets by 2027. The round was led by New York-based early-stage venture capital firm AlleyCorp, with participation from Motive Partners, Firstminute Capital, and angel investors including executives from Hugging Face, Mollie, Juni, Deel, Miro, Coinbase, PayPal, and Navro.
Neno launched in the Netherlands in the first quarter of 2026 and has already served close to 200 clients across hospitality, human resources, legal, e-commerce, and SaaS sectors. Early adopters include SOUS, FeedbackFruits, The Cirqle, as well as Y Combinator-backed Airweave and Rally. By consolidating accounting, tax, payroll, and commercial banking into a single AI-native workspace, the company aims to save entrepreneurs more than 100 hours of administrative work each year. Its team includes former founders, fintech veterans, and chartered accountants who previously worked at Mollie, Adyen, Remote, Plaid, Deloitte, BDO, and EY.
Neno targets the European accounting, tax, and professional services market, which the company estimates to be worth more than €200 billion annually. Among the 26 million SMEs in Europe, more than half outsource accounting, tax, and payroll to external providers, a reliance especially common in companies with 10 to 100 employees. Neno has built a real-time "intelligent agent ledger" that consolidates data from business bank accounts, corporate cards, bill payments, and accounts receivable onto a unified platform. The company says this system accelerates reconciliation and VAT preparation by five times, saves clients an average of eight hours per month, and reduces annual accounting costs by 20%.
The new funding will also be used to launch Neno Labs, advance research on "ambient AI" technology, and expand the accounting, tax, and marketing teams.
