EcoFlow Debuted at IFA 2026 with FortiShield 7 and Expanded Home Energy Lineup
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, EcoFlow unveiled its FortiShield 7 safety system and showcased portable solar storage, balcony storage, home energy storage, and building-integrated photovoltaics. The company, known for portable power stations, is expanding into residential green energy. Its product range includes the Explorer series, EnergyGuard Max 100kWh cabinet, SolarVault 3, and curved solar tiles, targeting European distributed energy needs.
The 2026 IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin opened on September 4. EcoFlow presented a range of products spanning portable solar storage, balcony storage, home energy storage, and building-integrated photovoltaics, and launched its FortiShield 7 comprehensive safety protection system. The company, which built its name on portable power stations, has extended its product scope from outdoor emergency power to household green energy applications.
At the show, EcoFlow exhibited its Explorer series portable storage units, the EnergyGuard Max 100kWh high-capacity home storage cabinet, the SolarVault 3 multi-unit parallel system, and aesthetically designed curved solar roof tiles. The balcony storage and modular home storage products target distributed power scenarios such as European apartments and courtyard homes, addressing local households' needs to lower electricity bills and increase energy independence. Unlike traditional home storage firms that focus on high-power grid-tied systems, EcoFlow leverages its consumer-grade product design, direct online sales, and brand-building capabilities to enter a market segment covering a broader base of households.
Overseas markets form a key foundation for this strategy. EcoFlow has built an overseas sales system centered on M2C direct sales and has accumulated a substantial user base in portable solar storage.
Home energy storage requires capabilities in product safety, installation compatibility, after-sales service, overseas certifications, and channel coordination, and market competition is intensifying. In Europe, demand for home storage is significantly influenced by electricity prices, subsidy policies, grid connection rules, and the broader macroeconomic consumption environment. Whether new products can achieve steady volume growth remains to be seen.
