Export-Import Bank Vice President Yang Dongning Named PICC Full-time Deputy Party Secretary

Yang Dongning, Party committee member and vice president of the Export-Import Bank of China, has been transferred to serve as full-time Deputy Party Secretary of People's Insurance Company (Group) of China. Born in March 1976 and a member of the Communist Party of China, Yang holds a doctorate, having studied at Peking University and SOAS University of London. She began her career at the former China Banking Regulatory Commission and the former China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC), during which she was seconded as deputy district mayor of Beijing's Dongcheng District. She subsequently served as director of the CBIRC's innovation department, then as Party secretary and director of the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau. From June 2024, Yang served as Party committee member of the Export-Import Bank of China, and later as vice president, until the present appointment.

Earlier, Zhang Lu assumed the post of full-time Deputy Party Secretary of China Life Insurance (Group) Company in February 2025. Zhang had previously served as a member of the Central and State Organs Working Committee and director of its grassroots organisation building guidance department. In June 2025, leadership information disclosed by China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure) showed that Li Wensen, Party committee member and vice president, had been appointed Deputy Party Secretary of the company. Li previously served as director of the General Office of the People's Bank of China, director of its Party Committee Office, and its spokesperson.
