Farsoon Unveils In-House Copper Alloy 3D-Printed Liquid Cooling Line

Farsoon Technologies has introduced four SLM copper alloy additive manufacturing processes for high-end thermal management, covering components from micro-scale heat sinks to cabinet-level cooling modules. Its large-format machines can print full-plate liquid cooling structures in one piece. In comparative tests under identical flow channels and operating conditions, the CuCrZr copper alloy forming process delivered lower thermal resistance in alloy cold plates, while multilayer micro-fin stacking reliably produced fins as small as 0.2 millimetres in diameter.

A multilayer micro-fin stacking process can reliably produce micro-fins with a minimum diameter of 0.2 millimetres. The related processes also enable integrated forming of precision capillary structures, extending 3D printing applications from liquid cooling plates to core components for two-phase heat dissipation.
