On August 18, Xu Yang, former chief executive officer of the Anta brand, responded publicly for the first time via social media to the reasons for his departure. He said he left Anta because of family members' overseas studies and would soon accompany his family to relocate to Los Angeles, United States. In his response, Xu stated that he had not arranged any farewells, citing guilt over having betrayed trust and a weakness he was unwilling to show. His social media location was set to Hong Kong International Airport, and the flight he boarded had already departed for Los Angeles.
