Fuju Food Group Invites Hearing-Impaired Students to Tenjin Festival Fireworks
Fuju Food Group, an Osaka-based food-service chain, invited 30 hearing-impaired students and their parents from two support schools to view the Tenjin Festival fireworks on July 25. The event, held from a special viewing area near the launch site, was organized by President Masahiro Fujio to ensure inclusivity. The company has held the event annually since 2016, except during the COVID-19 pandemic, and aims to foster social connections through disability employment and shared happiness.
The headquarters of Fuju Food Group, a food-service chain located near Tenjinbashi in Osaka, invited 30 students and parents from Osaka Prefectural Central Hearing Support School and Oizumi Hearing Support High School on July 25 to view the Tenjin Festival fireworks display. From a special viewing area near the launch site, they enjoyed the brilliant fireworks blooming one after another in the night sky.
To enable hearing-impaired people to enjoy the fireworks, the company's president, Masahiro Fujio, planned this event. Except for a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been inviting hearing-impaired students since 2016. The company stated that it will connect with society through measures such as promoting employment of people with disabilities, and is committed to building an organization that can share happiness.
