FWD Group Marks 13th Anniversary with 13 Charitable Grants Benefiting Over 13,000 People in 10 Asian Markets

FWD Group marked its 13th anniversary on 14 August 2026 and announced a series of charitable grants supporting more than 13,000 people in communities across Asia. Since its founding in 2013, the group has grown from operations in Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand to a pan-Asian life and health insurer covering 10 markets, serving tens of millions of customers and their families. In July 2025, FWD listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under stock code 1828. The 13 grants span financial education, employment readiness, entrepreneurship support, health and wellness, and community recovery, with projects in Hong Kong, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. In Hong Kong, FWD expanded the JA SparktheDream financial literacy workshops with Junior Achievement Hong Kong, using interactive sessions and parent–child activities to help 2,600 primary school students build social-emotional skills, financial literacy and resilience. It also supports a football programme with Save the Children Hong Kong to aid the physical and mental well-being of 200 children affected by the Tai Po fire and 80 caregivers, and supports Plan International (Hong Kong) in psychosocial support and community-building activities reaching more than 6,500 students, parents and teachers. In other markets, Cambodia runs financial literacy workshops and digital learning sessions through JCI Mekong, helping 200 young people acquire practical money skills. Indonesia's InnovateHer Academy 4.0 with KUMPUL provides mentorship and skills training for 10 women entrepreneurs. Japan partners with Hands On Tokyo to organise football activities for more than 15 visually impaired individuals. Malaysia supports GivingHub in running health education and financial literacy workshops for 170 low-income households and provides 100 cancer screening and consultation sessions. In the Philippines, FWD works with Junior Achievement Philippines to train 100 university students in financial literacy, career readiness and future workplace skills. Singapore supports Club Rainbow in hosting a carnival for 50 children with neurological conditions and their caregivers. Thailand extends its hospitality training scholarship with Pimali Foundation to prepare 7 disadvantaged youth for employment and expands the JA Finance for Life project with Junior Achievement Thailand to train an additional 30 Thai educators in financial literacy. In Vietnam, FWD supports workshops and debate competitions through the Startup Vietnam Foundation and Dear Our Community, helping 800 students improve financial judgement, critical thinking and communication skills. Through the Little Roses Foundation, it provides 76 computers to schools in Khanh Hoa province severely affected by flooding, enabling 1,800 students to continue learning.
