GAC Group H1 Revenue Rises 9.38% but Net Loss Widens to RMB4.47 Billion
GAC Group reported a 9.38% year-on-year increase in first-half revenue to RMB46.12 billion, but its net loss attributable to shareholders widened by 75.98% to RMB4.47 billion. Vehicle sales rose 2.35% to 773,100 units, with self-owned brands surging 35.69% to 346,000 units, despite a 21.1% decline in China's domestic auto market.
GAC Group released its 2026 interim report on the evening of August 28. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB46.12 billion, up 9.38% year on year. The net loss attributable to shareholders of the listed company stood at RMB4.47 billion, with the loss expanding by 75.98% compared with the same period last year. The rebound in sales volume drove revenue growth, but the company's profitability failed to improve in tandem.
In the first half of 2026, domestic auto market sales in China fell 21.1% year on year to 9.921 million units. GAC Group's total vehicle sales reached 773,100 units, up 2.35% year on year. Among these, sales of self-owned brands totaled 346,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 35.69%.
