GigaDevice Showcases Embodied Intelligence Portfolio at 2026 World Robot Conference
GigaDevice showcased its embodied-intelligence hardware solutions at the 2026 World Robot Conference on August 19. The company presented two robot-specific MCUs released that month, designed for joint control with GaN drivers and integrated high-precision encoders. In analog chips, it highlighted integrated solutions for current sensing, motor driving, and power supply, including a six-dimensional force sensing system based on a high-precision ADC. Terminal applications featuring its MCUs, such as dexterous hands and humanoid robots in the RMB 10,000 class, have demonstrated walking, dancing, and grasping.
GigaDevice appeared at the 2026 World Robot Conference on August 19. At the event, it showcased a range of embodied-intelligence hardware solutions spanning multiple product lines, including MCUs, analog, and storage, with products and technologies addressing robot joint control, current sensing, and system power supply.
For robot joint control, GigaDevice showcased two robot-specific MCUs released that month. The solution pairs with the company's own current-sensing chips and uses gallium nitride (GaN) drivers, supporting standard protocols and real-time control, with fast switching speed and low heat generation. It also integrates a domestically produced high-precision angle encoder, supports one-click self-calibration, and flexibly adapts to on-axis or off-axis mounting.
In the analog chip arena, GigaDevice offers highly integrated solutions focused on current sensing, motor driving, and system power supply. Among these, a driver for thermal management and braking systems supports wide-voltage operation and integrates high-precision current sensing. A driver chip for micro linear actuators in dexterous hands uses an ultra-small package suited to compact spaces. A six-dimensional force sensing solution based on a high-precision ADC enables synchronized high-speed acquisition of six force signal channels.
In terminal applications, products such as dexterous hands and humanoid robots in the RMB 10,000 class are equipped with GigaDevice MCUs. These products have already achieved complex actions including walking, dancing, and grasping.
