Google Launches Olive Green Pixel Buds Pro 2, Software Update Adds ANC and Gemini

Google has added a new olive green color option to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 lineup, joining the existing hazel, porcelain, peony, and moonstone finishes. The outer shell of each earbud features an olive green coating, while the remaining surfaces retain the black plastic design, and the accompanying charging case keeps its white appearance.

Google also outlined a software update for the Pixel Buds Pro 2. The active noise cancellation algorithm has been upgraded to maintain consistent performance across different wearing angles and intense physical activity. The Gemini assistant now supports audio controls, allowing users to adjust bass and treble settings via voice commands. Integration with Pixel Watch enables automatic music pause when the wearer falls asleep. Built-in real-time translation supports more than 70 languages. Additionally, Pixel Tag users can ask Gemini to locate lost items through the earbuds without needing to use their phone.

The olive green Pixel Buds Pro 2 will be available for pre-order starting August 12, 2026, at a price of US$899. The software update, including the noise cancellation improvements and sleep detection synchronization, is scheduled for a full rollout in September 2026.
