Gree Electric and the Nuclear Power Institute of China signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Chengdu, Sichuan, on September 11, 2026. On September 11, 2026, Gree Electric and the Nuclear Power Institute of China held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Chengdu, Sichuan. Yao Gang, Party Secretary of the Nuclear Power Institute of China, and Dong Mingzhu, Chairman of Gree Electric, attended as witnesses. Ding Jianmin, Party Committee member and Chief Accountant of the institute, and Zhang Wei, President of Gree Electric, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.
Under the agreement, the two sides will pursue deep coordination in joint technology research and development, product supply cooperation, management innovation, talent cooperation and joint Party building, and mutual industrial investment. The cooperation covers joint efforts to tackle key technologies in fields including additive modular high-efficiency heat exchange, equipment operation diagnostics and monitoring, intelligent robots, new energy, and integrated circuits, with the aim of advancing the upgrading of nuclear industry equipment and the independent controllability of key technologies.
The two sides will open supply chain procurement opportunities to each other on a two-way basis and supply each other with products, technologies, and solutions. They will also exchange and learn from each other's management experience and explore investment cooperation along the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to cultivate new growth points for the industry.
