Hainan Airlines has filed infringement complaints and sent legal letters after videos showed women performing dance routines at a Shenzhen bar wearing outfits closely resembling the carrier's fifth-generation "Haitian Xiangyun" uniform. The airline said the uniform, co-created with a renowned designer, is protected by design patents and copyrights. It demanded removal of the content and immediate cessation of infringement, while reserving the right to pursue further legal action including litigation.

Several women performed dance routines at a bar in Shenzhen wearing outfits highly similar to Hainan Airlines' uniforms. Videos circulating online showed the performance taking place on the stage of the iDSHENZHEN3.0 bar in Shenzhen, with the performers' outfits closely resembling the airline's "Haitian Xiangyun" uniform in appearance.

Hainan Airlines responded on August 14, stating that the "Haitian Xiangyun" uniform is the fifth-generation brand uniform co-created by the carrier and a renowned designer, and that the airline legally holds intellectual property rights over the uniform, including design patents and copyrights.

The airline said it has filed infringement complaints with relevant online platforms as a first step, requesting the removal of the offending content, and has formally sent legal letters to the parties involved, ordering them to immediately cease the infringement and eliminate the negative impact. Hainan Airlines also reserved the right to pursue further legal liability through litigation and other legal channels.
