HKEX appoints Ho Kwong-ngai Managing Director and Group Head of Strategy; Lam Kay-wing moves to CEO's Office

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has appointed Ho Kwong-ngai as Managing Director and Group Head of Strategy, effective September 1. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Lau Bik-yan and lead the group strategy function, supporting long-term development. Current Group Head of Strategy Lam Kay-wing will become Head of the CEO's Office and Head of Strategic Relations, reporting to Chief Executive Chan Yee-ting. Ho joins from Oliver Wyman, where he spent more than 14 years advising exchanges, regulators and banks across Asia-Pacific.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) has appointed Ho Kwong-ngai as Managing Director and Group Head of Strategy, effective September 1. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Lau Bik-yan. In his new role, Ho will lead the group strategy function, working closely with the HKEX management committee and heads of business divisions to drive the implementation of key strategic initiatives. He will also provide insights on economic and macro trends and offer guidance on new business initiatives to support the group's long-term development.

HKEX also announced that Lam Kay-wing, currently Group Head of Strategy and Head of the CEO's Office, will move to the role of Head of the CEO's Office and Head of Strategic Relations, reporting to Group Chief Executive Officer Chan Yee-ting.

Before joining HKEX, Ho spent more than 14 years at Oliver Wyman, advising leading exchanges, regulators and banks in the Asia-Pacific region. He most recently served as Partner in Banking and Financial Services and Head of Asia-Pacific Digital Assets. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Global Business and Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
