Hubei Energy released its semi-annual report on August 28, 2026. In the first half of 2026, the company recorded operating revenue of RMB 8.697 billion, up 2.40% year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company reached RMB 1.095 billion, an increase of 14.46% from the same period last year. Basic earnings per share amounted to RMB 0.15.
The increase in operating revenue during the reporting period was primarily driven by two factors: domestic hydropower operations benefited from favorable water inflows, leading to higher hydropower generation and a year-on-year revenue increase of RMB 1.319 billion; and overseas spot electricity prices rose compared with the same period last year, contributing an additional RMB 182 million in revenue from overseas hydropower operations.
