Hubei Energy Signs 8 Billion Yuan Clean Energy Deal with Enshi
Hubei Energy announced on September 4 that it signed a cooperation agreement with the Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture government to deepen clean energy development. Under the deal, the company plans to invest about 8 billion yuan in clean energy and related supply chain projects during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, including a 1.852 million kW hydropower project and 1 million kW of new energy capacity.

The two parties will leverage the prefecture's resource endowments and the company's strengths in capital, technology, and management to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism, conducting multi-channel, multi-field, and multi-level collaboration to jointly ensure stable and secure energy supply.
Under the agreement, during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), the company plans to invest approximately 8 billion yuan in clean energy and upstream and downstream industry chain projects in Enshi, building a batch of wind, solar, hydro, storage, and integrated energy projects. Among them, the Linxihe hydropower project has a total investment of 2.08 billion yuan and an installed capacity of 185,200 kW, while the new energy projects are planned to have a total capacity of 1 million kW.
