Ominimo was founded in 2024 by Dusan Komar, Dennis Weinbender, and Laslo Horvath. The company develops and distributes motor insurance products, employing highly granular data-driven pricing and proprietary insurance technology. It plans to increase headcount to about 150 by the end of the year.
Ominimo launched in Hungary in 2024 and has since expanded to Poland, the Netherlands, and Sweden. It is preparing to enter Belgium, Romania, Spain, Italy, France, and the United States, with operations in the US planned to begin in 2027. The company also intends to obtain its own insurance license, develop new insurance products, and make further investments in technology and artificial intelligence.
