JA Solar Posts RMB17.5B Revenue, RMB2.66B Net Loss in H1 2026
JA Solar Technology reported first-half 2026 revenue of RMB17.498 billion, down 26.8% year on year, with a net loss attributable to shareholders of RMB2.663 billion, widening from a RMB2.58 billion loss in the same period of 2025. The company attributed the loss to persistent supply-demand imbalance in the PV supply chain, intensifying competition, added tax costs from the removal of export tax rebates, and trade frictions.
JA Solar Technology disclosed its interim report on August 27, 2026. In the first half of 2026, the company achieved total operating revenue of RMB17.498 billion, down 26.8% year on year. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was a loss of RMB2.663 billion, compared with a loss of RMB2.58 billion in the same period of 2025.
Regarding the reasons for the loss, the company stated that in recent years, the photovoltaic main industry chain has faced supply-demand imbalance across all segments, with intensifying industry competition. Combined with additional tax cost burdens after the cancellation of export tax rebates and escalating international trade frictions, the company's module business remained in a loss-making state. In addition, logistics disruptions caused by geopolitical conflicts triggered performance claims on certain overseas orders, which had an adverse impact on the reporting period's results.
