JA Solar Reports RMB 680 Million Impairments in First Half of 2026

JA Solar disclosed at an earnings conference on August 28 that it recorded cumulative impairments of RMB 680 million in the first half of 2026, with inventory impairments of approximately RMB 400 million and asset impairments of about RMB 180 million. The company said it will conduct impairment tests in accordance with accounting standards and industry conditions, handling inventory and asset impairments with a prudent and cautious approach. Currently, its tier-1 energy-efficiency assets have been incorporated into the national standard system.
