JD.com Acquires London Grade A Office Brook Green for European Headquarters

JD. com has acquired the 'Systems' property at Brook Green in London to serve as its European headquarters. The Grade A office spans approximately 127,000 square feet, was built in 1936 and has been recently renovated. The property was formerly the headquarters of British food company J. Lyons & Co and EMI Records. The transaction price was not disclosed.

In March this year, JD launched its online retail business Joybuy in Europe. Previously, in April last year, the company bought an office building in Westminster for £37 million, and late last year it acquired a logistics park in the East Midlands.
