JD.com Open-Sources Real-Time Streaming Video Editing Model JoyAI-Video-Edit

On August 5, 2026, JD. com announced the open-source release of its self-developed real-time streaming video editing model, JoyAI-Video-Edit. The model enables users to modify characters and scenes in real time while watching a video, transforming video creation from the traditional “footage first, edit later” process into a new mode of interactive real-time editing. During video playback, users can make immediate adjustments to character appearances, scene arrangements, and other elements, without waiting for material collection to be completed before moving to post-production. The open-source release makes the model’s code available to developers.
