JetBlue Revamps Fare Options in December 2025 Ahead of BlueFirst Domestic First Class Launch

JetBlue Airways is restructuring its fare options in preparation for the launch of BlueFirst, its domestic first-class cabin. Passengers will first choose their legroom and seat class, including Main (economy), Even More (extra legroom), and the upcoming BlueFirst domestic first class. Each class will offer three fare options: Base, Standard, and Flex.

The Base fare is the lowest price and includes a carry-on bag but not seat selection. It is refundable as a travel credit, with fees for changes or cancellations, and earns 1 TrueBlue point per US dollar spent. The Standard fare includes seat selection, has no change or cancellation fees, but requires payment of any fare difference, and earns 3 TrueBlue points per US dollar spent. The Flex fare builds on Standard and offers refunds to the original payment method.

JetBlue will eliminate its existing Core fare, folding economy options into the Main category. JetBlue's lie-flat Mint business class, used on long-haul routes such as transcontinental US flights and services to Paris, London, and Milan, will offer only Standard and Flex options, with no basic lie-flat business product like those introduced by United Airlines and Delta Air Lines this year. United said this month that it charges extra for blocking middle seats on certain aircraft.

JetBlue has not yet provided a specific launch date for the BlueFirst seats. The airline is scheduled to report earnings on Tuesday.
