Jiangsu Bank's Decade on A-Share Market: Assets Hit RMB5.58 Trillion, NPL Ratio Falls to 0.81%

Jiangsu Bank, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in August 2016, saw total assets reach RMB5.58 trillion by end-March 2026, with 2025 revenue of RMB87.9 billion and net profit of RMB34.5 billion. Its non-performing loan ratio fell to 0.81%, the lowest since listing. Over the decade, market capitalization exceeded RMB200 billion, cumulative cash dividends neared RMB60 billion, and the share price gained over 200% on an adjusted basis, with a dividend yield above 5%.

On August 2, 2016, Jiangsu Bank was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, becoming the first bank to debut on the main board in six years. Over the decade since listing, its total market capitalization has exceeded RMB200 billion, and it has been included in 438 major indices including the CSI 300 and SSE 180. On an adjusted basis, the share price has risen more than 200% cumulatively. During the listing period, the bank distributed cumulative cash dividends of nearly RMB60 billion. The 2025 profit distribution plan is RMB5.641 per 10 shares, implying a dividend yield of over 5%. Major shareholders and senior management have conducted multiple rounds of share purchases, totaling several billion RMB. The bank has held over 700 sessions of online and offline roadshows, institutional research, and earnings briefings. Its MSCI and Wind ESG ratings are both A, and it ranked 51st in the 2026 Top 1000 World Banks.

Operating data show that Jiangsu Bank's key indicators have achieved leapfrog growth. Based on end-2015 figures, total assets at end-2025 reached RMB4.93 trillion, more than 3.8 times the end-2015 level. Deposits and loans stood at RMB2.54 trillion and RMB2.47 trillion respectively, both more than three times the end-2015 levels. By end-March 2026, total assets had increased to RMB5.58 trillion, with deposits and loans rising to RMB2.94 trillion and RMB2.69 trillion. The bank has maintained positive revenue and profit growth for ten consecutive years since listing, with a double-digit compound annual growth rate. In 2025, it achieved revenue of RMB87.9 billion and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB34.5 billion, with profit scale more than three times the 2015 net profit. In the first quarter of 2026, quarterly profit exceeded RMB10 billion.

In terms of asset quality, Jiangsu Bank's non-performing loan (NPL) ratio has declined year by year. As of end-2025, the NPL ratio was 0.84%, and it further fell to 0.81% in the first quarter of 2026, the lowest level since listing. The ratios of loans overdue for more than 90 days and more than 60 days to NPLs both remained below 1, and the provision coverage ratio stayed at a high level. The bank has built a smart risk management system covering the entire process, embedding digitalization and intelligence into the full credit lifecycle.

In terms of institutional layout, after the opening of the Ningbo branch in 2025, Jiangsu Bank formed a '13+5+3' branch and subsidiary network, with over 540 outlets covering the whole of Jiangsu Province and key regions including the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As of end-2025, Suyin Financial Leasing had assets of nearly RMB150 billion and has maintained a Moody's Baa2 long-term issuer rating for four consecutive years. Suyin Wealth Management managed over RMB820 billion, and Suyin Consumer Finance had assets exceeding RMB66 billion.

In business data, as of end-2025, manufacturing loans stood at RMB357.7 billion, accounting for 22% of corporate loans. Loans to technology enterprises reached RMB290.5 billion, with annual growth of over 20%. Green financing exceeded RMB740 billion. In retail, retail customer assets under management surpassed RMB1.63 trillion, and mobile banking monthly active users exceeded 8 million. In financial markets, financial investment assets exceeded RMB1.93 trillion, up 26.3%. Custody assets surpassed RMB5.1 trillion, with public fund custody exceeding RMB450 billion. In online finance, cumulative digital RMB transaction volume exceeded RMB360 billion in 2025, and the first scenario of the multi-CBDC bridge was implemented.

In technology, Jiangsu Bank independently developed the large-model service platform 'Smart Xiaosu' and completed the local deployment of DeepSeek in early 2025, becoming the first city commercial bank in China to put AI large models into actual operation. The bank has built an '1860' AI system, comprising one intelligent base, eight digital bankers, and 60 high-value application scenarios, with large models applied to intelligent risk control and the entire credit approval process. The bank continues to iterate products in digital RMB, online credit, and smart marketing, with online business penetration at an industry-leading level.

2026 marks the first year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan. Jiangsu Bank said it will continue to advance development along three directions: strengthening political guidance, strengthening benchmark awareness, and strengthening execution, striving to achieve a 'dual improvement' in provincial financial contribution and national comprehensive ranking.
