The platform found accounts using animation clips, secondary creations, or edits to produce content with violence, gore, and horror, endangering minors. Kuaishou established multi-layer screening mechanisms, differentiated handling by risk level, and conducted a full sweep of historical content. Repeat violators faced strict penalties.
Kuaishou recently intensified its special campaign against harmful animation content as part of a broader regulatory push. The platform discovered that some accounts were producing and publishing animation content containing violence, gore, and horror through methods such as animation clips, secondary creations, or edited compilations, posing risks to the physical and mental health of minors. In response, the platform has removed the violating content and taken action against the relevant accounts.
To improve the effectiveness of the campaign, Kuaishou established a multi-layer screening mechanism to accurately identify harmful animation content and refined its governance criteria to apply differentiated measures based on risk levels. At the same time, the platform conducted a comprehensive review and cleanup of historical content. As of now, the platform has cumulatively removed over 30,000 pieces of violating animation content. For user accounts that repeatedly posted such content, the platform imposed strict penalties.
