Kuaishou's Kling AI Gets RMB1.53 Billion Injection from National AI Fund and CP Robot
Kuaishou's Beijing Kling Technology Co. , Ltd. signed agreements on August 31 with the National Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund and Charoen Pokphand Robot Limited, securing a combined cash injection of approximately RMB1.531 billion. The national fund contributed RMB1.4 billion, while CP Robot invested about USD19.29 million (roughly RMB131 million). Post-injection, the two investors will hold approximately 1.14% and 0.11% of Kling's expanded registered capital, respectively, with repurchase rights granted.
On August 31, Beijing Kling Technology Co. , Ltd. , a subsidiary of Kuaishou, entered into accession agreements with the National Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund (Limited Partnership) and Charoen Pokphand Robot Limited (CP Robot). Under the agreements, both the national AI fund and CP Robot agreed to join as additional investors in the capital increase agreement, contributing cash capital of RMB1.4 billion and approximately USD19.29 million (equivalent to about RMB131 million), respectively. The combined injection totals approximately RMB1.531 billion.
Upon completion of the capital increase, the national AI fund and CP Robot will hold approximately 1.14% and 0.11% of Beijing Kling's registered capital, respectively, after the expansion resulting from the subscription and the implementation of the subsidiary share participation plan.
On the same day, Beijing Kling also entered into accession agreements to shareholder agreements with the national AI fund and CP Robot, granting both investors repurchase rights. Additionally, Beijing Kling signed supplemental accession agreements with several companies, adjusting the subscription amounts of existing investors.
The capital increase relates to Kuaishou Technology's previously announced plan to consolidate its Kling AI-related assets and operations under Beijing Kling, alongside agreements reached with multiple investors.
